Stoneleigh 2003

If you only go to one show a year make sure it's Stoneleigh. Stoneleigh still is the biggest and best show of the year. There is so much there that you could wander around for both days and still not see everything. Place a note in your diary for next year, May Bank holiday Sunday and Monday IS the Stoneleigh show.

This year I camped up at the show on Saturday and Sunday nights. Saturday afternoon was spend helping the Quantum Owners Club committee set up the club stand. As a club we have one of the biggest stands at the show and on the Sunday this was fully justified, as someone counted over 80 cars on the stand. The main focus of the stand this year was raising money for the NCH and publicising the EE24 as it's come to be known.

I took the opportunity at the show you wash the car and then put some stickers advertising the John O'Groats to Lands End run onto the car. The high wind caused a few problems hence the main bonnet sticker will need to be replaced at a later date.

As promised I took a few photos of my co-drive John's car which I believe is the only other completed H4 Turbo currently on the road. I know Glynn's brother is building one, but when I last spoke to Glynn it hadn'd been completed. If anyone know of any other H4 Turbos please let me know.

As if you hadn't guessed I didn't take the camera much further than the Quantum Owners Club stand. So here we go again with more pictures of a Quantum, this time Jim's immaculate 2+2. It has become know within the club as the Mean Green Machine due to the power put out by the engine due to some very trick head work by Dave Baker.
